Seefeld am Pilsensee is situated in the middle of Bavaria's Five Lakes region, at the very heart of Munich's prime local recreation area. Our leisure facilities, complete with campsite and lake shore bathing area, are located on a 100,000 sqm site directly on the Pilsensee lake, which is well known for its excellent water quality.

A small pub and adjacent supermarket, as well as a lakeside restaurant and beer garden with shady trees offer our guests a wide choice of food and refreshments. In the summer, quick snacks are also available at our bathing-area kiosk, located nearby at the sunbathing area. The latter extends all the way from our 100 sqm for caravans, down to the shore of Pilsen-see lake, where long wood jetties offer easy access into deeper water, as well inviting places where vacationers sunbathe. At the campsite, table tennis, a football goal wall, and boccia bowling alley provide leisure fun for young and old alike. And if you would prefer to barbecue with your friends, no problem: There are two ideal barbecue sites that will make your party an occasion to remember.

Seefeld Castle, up on the keep above STRANDBAD PILSENSEE CAMPSITE, is well worth a visit, not least for its award-winning wide-screen cinema, its collection of exhibits from the State Museum of Ethology, and a variaty of shops in and around the castle. At the beer garden in the Seefeld courtyard, complete with fountain, you can sit down in historic surroundings with a cool TOERRING BIER and enjoy a range of traditional Bavarian dishes prepared by the Bräustüberl Schloß Seefeld. From the castle courtyard, you can set off on hikes to the Benedictine monastery of Andechs - a 10 kilometer walk takes you through the woodland owned by the local count - or to the town of Herrsching just 5 kilometers away, where you can take a steam boat trip on Ammersee lake. If you would like to pay Munich a visit, we recommend taking the S8 line of the local rapid transit railway (S-Bahn). The next station is just a kilometer away, and trains run to and from the Bavarian capital every 20-40 minutes.
